Reality of Deformation takes the daily life of Chi-Lun as a point of departure, placing six distinct events on a journey as its subject matter. Through 3D scanning, visual translation, and bodily movement, the work “defamiliarises” the familiar scenes of train travel. As such, objective reality is no longer a foregone conclusion, but is reconstituted through speed and distortion in each person’s subjective impressions.

On the repeated back-and-forth journeys between Tainan and Kaohsiung, we captured thousands of image fragments – cutting and reconfiguring them through photogrammetry into point cloud models. Drawing on concepts of chronophotography, this creative process deforms the scene to construct a cyclical journey: “Departure”, "Reflection of the Seated”, “Moving Scenes I: Outbound”, “Encounters at a Stop”, “Moving Scenes II: Return”, and “The Way Back”.

Through the imagery of these six events, Chi-Han invited Ya-Chu and Jia-Jun to reinterpret perceptual deformations onboard the journey – through their body language and lens respectively. We searched for Chi-Lun’s presence amidst these diverse languages of translation and imagery. The project is not a mere documentation, but an experiment in the recalibration of perspectives – attempting to catch those minute yet authentic perceptual differences in our everyday lives that are often cast aside by societal frameworks.

《變形的真實：孤絕下的感知差異》以紀倫的日常為引，將六段旅程事件作為主體。透過 3D 掃描、影像轉譯與身體律動，將習以為常的火車景象「去陌生化」，客觀事物不再是定論，而是在速度與扭曲中，重新再現於每個人特有的印象裡。

從臺台南至高雄的列車往返間，我們擷取了數千張影像碎片，透過攝影測量技術將動態影像切片、重組，轉化為點雲模型。這種運用定時攝影概念的創作方法，構成了場景的變形，進一步變成旅程的迴圈：「啟程」、「坐下的倒影」、「移動的窗景 I：去程」、「停靠時的交會」、「移動的窗景 II：回程」、「歸途」。

透過六段旅程的影像，紀涵邀請雅竹以肢體語言、家駿以鏡頭視角，重新詮釋關於旅行中的感知變形。我們在多元的轉譯語言和畫面裡尋找紀倫。這不僅是紀錄，更是一場關於視角重啟的實驗，試圖在日常中，接住那些被社會框架摒棄的、微小而真實的感知差距。
